The "City Toilets" project Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality

As part of the "City Toilets" project operated by Sağlık AŞ, a company of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, I designed modern and rapidly deployable modular toilets. The focus of the design was to provide a healthy, smart, hygienic, and quickly assembled demountable system in the city's busiest and most crowded areas. Our primary goal was to bring this project to life in a noticeably short time.

The design stages were quite challenging; every step from the initial prototype production to the final phase was meticulously prepared. The project features a system that prioritizes hygiene and health, equipped with air conditioning and advanced air filtration. The wall and floor coverings are designed without joint details, and the toilets are self-cleaning. Today, these smart toilets are successfully used in parks, gardens, and historical sites—areas where traditional construction is not feasible. This project was developed to enhance the quality of urban life and provide aesthetic and functional solutions to meet users' needs.
